How do you choose the correct promotional gift for your client?

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

A survey from the Advertising Specialists Institution (ASI) revealed that 62% of recipients of promotional products go on to do business with the advertiser after receiving a promotional gift.  And 81% of people kept the product they received for a minimum of a year after receiving it.

With thousands of different products out there on the market, how do you choose the correct product to make potential, and current clients remember who you are?

Think about the market you are trying to target, you are trying to get their attention so that they have a constant reminder of your business, whether it is on their desk, on their fridge or in their bags, don’t give them a gift they will throw away as you are wasting your time and money.

  • If you own a car garage why not put a branded keyring with the keys when you return the car, giving your customer your number to hand for the next time they have trouble or need to book the annual service and mot.
  • Another example would be magnets for plumbers if you have just finished fitting a nice new boiler, why not stick on a magnet allowing  your name and contact details to be available to the customer next time they need you.

Promotional gifts can be one of the most effective forms of advertising if you get it right.  So before you order your gifts make sure you think about who will be receiving it, will they keep it or are you throwing away your money.

Can you tell the difference between your Golf balls?

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

Hopefully the Spring will not be too far away and it will be time to finish work for the afternoon and head to the golf course.  With so many corporate and charity events now taking place on the golf course, branded golf balls are a favourite to keep your brand infront of your customers.  But which do you choose?

Do you know the difference between a budget golf ball, and a top of the range golf ball?

  • A budget golf ball is very durable, will not scuff easily and so will last longer, however this ball will spin more and for the pros out there, you will notice less feel and control.
  • A top of the range ball will spin more, and gives the golfer more control of their shots, however these balls will be less durable than the lower cost golf balls.

Unless you are giving these to a pro, they probably won’t notice a difference between the different qualities.  And each brand of ball will usually make a quality to suit all budgets.

So if you are looking for a giveaway for a golfing event get in touch with us and we will guide you through everything you need to know for purchasing the correct ball for your client or customer.
