It is a platform that can help you raise your profile and company awareness so should not be missed.

A Facebook business page is quick and simple to set up. You can put up office contact details, photos of recent events attended or new products available, as well as introduce exclusive special offers and interactive marketing campaigns. When a customer or prospect visits your page they can click a button to ‘like’ the page in which case they become a Facebook Fan of your company. Direct and targeted marketing could not be easier as you can message all of your fans together. Email marketing shots have reached a new level of simplicity.

Interaction and communication are key activities in social media. Ask open and leading questions to spark a conversation and form a relationship. This relationship can then build each day with constant status updates or personalised messages.

Why not upload a promotional video showing a recent presentation you gave, or examples of work and recent projects completed. Including interaction such as this will help your fans engage with your business and brand. The more interesting and engaging your page is your fans are more likely to give you good feedback and quality leads.

Are Your Plans SMART?

January 5th, 2011

January 2011, it’s a new year and a fresh start to make some productive business plans. However, planning and forming objectives are pointless and a waste of time if there is no thought behind them. This is where the concept of SMART takes its place. This basic but effective model can help you produce solid and useful plans and objectives to take you through 2011.

S – Specific: every aspect of your plan should be written with very fine detail so you know exactly what you are aiming for. A good way of checking this is by getting an unbiased person to read them and see if they know exactly what you want to achieve.

M – Measurable: each point in your plan must have a measurable characteristic. Without having anything to measure you cannot see if you are working towards your plan and hitting targets effectively.

A – Achievable: be true to yourself and plan accordingly. Start the New Year as you mean to go on so plan for what you can manage and reach. Aim high of course but not ridiculously so, as it will only reflect on you at the end of the year when you come to review your efforts.

R – Realistic: everything should be in place so that each objective and target can be reached. There is no use making targets when you do not have the relevant people and resources available. These are just dreams and will not become reality.

T – Timely: always include a time frame for achieving each target. This will not only motivate you but it will also help you keep track of your plans. These can always be adjusted as the year goes along but try and be as accurate as you can.

Using these simple steps will ensure that you always form precise business plans. Once your business plan and objectives are finalised you can think clearly about how your marketing and promotional activities will fit in. Make 2011 a good one!

URGENT NOTICE!!

December 21st, 2010

Clothing is at an all time low with major shortages across many popular styles and colours. Due to the price of cotton increasing and the serious floods across cotton fields abroad the supply is just not there. With cotton taking 3-4 months to process there are very long delays until stocks are back up. Despite this, if you are not tied down to particular styles and colours then grab yourselves a bargain now before prices increase further. However if you do have specific garments in mind then we would advise you to order as quickly as possible after receiving your quote so as not to be disappointed. As soon as stocks are in they are being sold very quickly. So act fast and don’t miss out!

Have you heard about PACSO?

December 15th, 2010

We would like to introduce to you a great charity in our local area and the work they do. PACSO stands for Parents and Carers Support Organisation. They are a fantastic charity that is continually helping to support the families and friends of children with disabilities. This charity strongly believes that the person comes before the disability and gives the children confidence and belief in themselves. PACSO’s work involves school holiday activity days, after school workshops and a more recent buddy programme. All of these different activities helps the children to make friends, try something new and forget about their troubles in life for a couple of hours. For example the buddy scheme helps teenagers tackle what would seem as simple tasks like crossing the road or catching a train, but to them are big milestones in life. The buddies on this scheme befriend the children they work with and inspire them to take on challenges and not to be afraid. It takes an incredible amount of courage for these children to tackle the troubles they face with their disabilities but with the help and support of the staff and other children at PACSO everything is made a little easier. The charity has one main ethos that runs through all of their work which is of inclusion. This is mainly so that children with a disability in the Chichester and Arun Districts of West Sussex can still be included in the activities offered in mainstream clubs with the support and specialised care needed. It does not only give itself to children with disabilities but also to all of their siblings. All the children from a family can come along to as many or as few events as they choose either to paint a picture or try their hand at a spot of trampolining. This is the only charity that provides this service for the siblings as well. This gives the parents and carers a break to carry out simple pleasures such as going to the gym and having a coffee, with the knowledge all their children are in safe hands.

We here at MPM2 feel passionate about the work at PACSO and want to spread the word about this charity and their good work in the community. Everything they do is for the good of the children. They deserve all the help and support the community can offer, so get on board and discover ways in which you can keep this charity’s work going.

Chichester Chamber Go-Karting Event

October 28th, 2010

On Tuesday 5th October 2010 MPM2 embarked on a mission to conquer the Chichester Chamber Go-Karting evening. We had a team of four all ready to go, two of which had never been on a mission quite like this so were using their brains and skill to get them through. The team was to be called ‘Breeny’s Dream Team’ however some how got changed to a more civilised ‘MPM2’ as we wanted to lull the other teams into a false sense of security. As the evening approached Anna was practising her cheerleading routine and the MPM2 team turned into lean mean driving machines.

At least that was the attitude as we entered the building. The lean mean driving machines were fast becoming more like rabbits caught in the headlights; well I can speak for myself as one of the team members as that was how I was feeling. The other teams arrived in quick succession of each other all with enthusiasm and competitive spirits. The training was detailed and thorough setting a few first timers minds at rest. The practice laps were cautious and helped to dust off the cobwebs. As the race got under way the MPM2 team got faster each lap. We ended up a respectable 6th place out of eleven teams. Now the MPM2 team has had a taste for the fast life we are ready and rearing to go at the next event.

The Gosport Indoor Go-Karting team were friendly and looked after us all. I would highly recommend the complex. All in all it was a fantastic event organised by the Chichester Chamber of Commerce.
